Verizon Business recently published the 2008 Data Breach Investigations Report, a first-hand study of more than 500 data breaches taken directly from the casebooks of Verizon Business’s Investigative Response team. • It could take weeks, if not months, before anyone knows what happened. Subsequently, this allows criminals access to sensitive information over a longer period of time.
